Dear members of AARC and DRC:
In line with the cooperation of both regional Rectors' Conferences in
the past decades, it is our special honour to invite you to distribute
this call for participation to your PhD students.
The AARC organises its traditional annual PhD conference, which is open
to both AARC members and DRC members.
This year the conference is hosted by the Széchenyi István University
in Győr, Hungary between 9-11 November, 2026, again. The Széchenyi
István University holds the AARC Presidency for the current term.
We are sending you this invitation in the hope that you can mobilise
doctoral students and raise interest among your PhD students for
participation.
Guidelines for participating students:
* Reports on doctoral research in the fields of Social Sciences and
Engineering Sciences are expected. Presentations are recommended to
focus on research findings, viable research methodologies and
difficulties/complexities along the doctoral journey.
* A short abstract is to be submitted to the AARC Secretariat by
Friday, October 23rd, 2026.
* Registration forms for participation are to be submitted to the AARC
Secretariat by Friday, October 23rd, 2026.
The Széchenyi István University will accept up to 20 participants and
cover accommodation and meals for up to two days between 9-11 November
2026.
Candidates may fill out the short registration form (where also the
summary shall be added) and send it electronically to aarc@um.si. The
principle of selection is “first-come, first-served”.
